Ferrari FF, the pleasure of driving combined with everyday usability
In March 2011, the Geneva Motor Show witnessed the debut of a revolutionary car: the Ferrari FF, front-mid four-wheel drive car with a V12 engine (the first time in the history of Maranello), a totally new type of GT. With its highly innovative design, the so-called shooting brake, the Ferrari FF is the perfect synthesis of the extreme performance of a supercar (the Ferrari FF boasts a maximum power of 660 hp) with the extreme usability of a GT car.
The FF can accommodate four people in complete comfort thanks to its comfortable seats and interior spaces, with a 450-litre luggage compartment that can be extended to 800 thanks to the fully foldable rear seats. Its total capacity was a true benchmark for the era in its category, but also capable of also putting many four-door saloons to shame.
Over the years, the Ferrari FF has received a great deal of critical and public acclaim. Today, it is still possible to experience the reason for such success thanks to the Ferrari Approved pre-owned programme.
The Ferrari FF is equipped with an innovative 12-cylinder direct-injection engine, coupled with a seven-speed dual-clutch F1 gearbox. With a maximum power of 660 hp at 8000 rpm and a maximum torque of 683 Nm at 6000 rpm (of which 500 Nm already available at 1000 rpm), the Ferrari FF boasts extreme sports car performance: it takes 3.7 seconds to reach 100 km/h from a standing start, and has a top speed of 335 km/h. In terms of consumption, the FF uses 15.4 litres for 100 km and its emissions are 25% lower than the previous V12 also thanks to the system HELE (High emotions-low emissions), which includes, among other things, Stop & Start technology.
A cabin that would be the envy of many a living room
The cabin of the
Ferrari FF is a hymn to craftsmanship: everything is tailor-made, designed to
fit the tastes and needs of all its occupants. In addition to six exclusive
colours, the FF, also in the Ferrari Approved pre-owned version, is available
in Frau semi-aniline leather, chosen from the best and innovatively treated to
enhance its softness.
The on-board equipment designed to make each trip a
unique experience for all occupants, includes the rear entertainment system
with two video displays for DVDs and TV programmes or the 1280-watt 16-channel
HI-FI system for the broadcasting of music in Quantumlogic Surround.
Ferrari FF, exceptional all terrain performance thanks to four-wheel drive
Thanks to the
patented four-wheel drive system, the Ferrari FF boasts exceptional performance
in all grip conditions, even in the most critical situations such as snow and
ice. The complex system developed by Prancing Horse technicians always provides
torque to the rear wheels and, thanks to the PTU (Power Transfer Unit), part of
it is transferred to the front axle in the quantity and for the time necessary
to handle low grip surfaces. The FF manages instantaneous torque and in
variable percentage on each wheel thanks to the integration into a single
control unit of all the on-board dynamic vehicle controls such as the E-Diff
electronic differential, the F1-Trac traction control and the PTU.
